I know that your knowledge and professionalism on the key areas of web design and coding is of an incredibly high standard and is visibly improving day by day.

When you speak on the phone client, you are correct to say that it makes it easier to write down the one or two key messages you want to convey. Even better when you write down the related benefit to the client (i.e. I created the design like so, because we want to convert the max number of customers possible)... (Try it; what were the results?)

Then: Smile and dial. (Motivating touch right?)

Then: Reply to every question with an answer that leads quickly to one of your key messages and benefits. (Do you find they agree more readily?)

If you don't know an answer tell the client you will investigate the best answer and call them back.

But you knew all this already ... it's all in that large and growing brain of yours.
